Listservs
We maintain several public listservs where announcements, event information, job opportunities, and other useful information will be sent.
To subscribe to a listserv follow this two-step process:
Subscribing to publicgeog-L@unm.edu
1. Send an email to listserv@list.unm.edu from the address you wish to be subscribed.
Leave the Subject field blank. In the body of message (with no other text) type:
subscribe publicgeog-L firstname lastname
Subscribing to GEOG-JOBS-L@LIST.UNM.EDU
1. Send an email to listserv@list.unm.edu from the address you wish to be subscribed.
Leave the Subject field blank. In the body of message (with no other text) type:
subscribe GEOG-JOBS-L firstname lastname
Subscribing to GEOG_ALUMNI-L@LIST.UNM.EDU
1. Send an email to listserv@list.unm.edu from the address you wish to be subscribed.
Leave the Subject field blank. In the body of message (with no other text) type:
subscribe GEOG_ALUMNI-L firstname lastname
Where 'firstname' is your first name, and 'lastname' is your last name.
Delete your signature, if you use one, and send the message.
2. Once the subscription request is approved, a notification will be e-mailed to you -- you will need to confirm your subscription by clicking on the link in the confirmation email -- this is an added step that provides additional security for the entire list.
How to unsubscribe from a listserv
Subscribers can remove themselves from the list by sending a message to: listserv@list.unm.edu
- Leave the Subject field blank
- In the body of message type (with no other text): unsubscribe 'listserv name'
Replace 'listserv name' with either publicgeog-L, GEOG-JOBS-L or GEOG_ALUMNI-L.
